Single Crystal Ultrasonic Probe
For use with the gauge in Multiple-Echo mode to read through and ignore coatings, our Single Crystal range both sends and receives ultrasound energy. Recommended for a majority of applications, it can be used to read through coatings up to 20 mm thick with the gauge in Deep Coat mode. Our probes are fitted with a protective membrane, which is installed in front of the probe face to protect it from damage, as well as to help the probe face “mould” to uneven and corroded surfaces and aid measurement. To allow the ultrasound to pass through, a thin film of membrane couplant sits between the membrane and the probe.
Twin Crystal Ultrasonic Probe
Suitable for use with the gage in Single-Echo or Echo-Echo modes, our Twin Crystal range\’s face is divided in two. One semi-circle transmits the ultrasound energy and the other receives it back, and they have a hard wear face which will eventually wear down. Designed for ease and simplicity, the gage will indicate when the probe needs changing to ensure efficient use. To find out more, head on over to our Twin Crystal page.
